Curriculum
Western International School offers Pre-K to Grade 12 curricula. The language of instruction is English for half-day classes to accommodate students who also attend public schools. While English paralleled to Northern American standard and Khmer instruction based on MOEYS are used for full-day classes.
Students who complete a class at Western International School will take the National Exam by MoEYS. With their diploma, graduates can continue their studies at any university in the country and institutions of higher learning abroad.
Kindergarten
The kindergarten curriculum is constantly developed by our experienced foreign teachers. We provide a variety of social, physical, and emotional learning experiences.

Helping the child learn self-discipline and appropriate school behavior is an integral part of the kindergarten experience. School equipped with appropriate learning tools and facilities along with our experienced teachers, students will gain the required skills and be able to communicate in English well.
Primary
For the Khmer curriculum, we follow the government’s curriculum and instructions. Furthermore, we make them digital and modify the course outlines to fit our curriculum and needs.

For the English curriculum, we follow the best practice of the international curriculum with all subjects in English parallel with the international curriculum and Cambodian curriculum.
The books we use are original, and international publishers always support us by providing training in teaching methods to use the books professionally.
Secondary
Similarly, for the Khmer curriculum, we follow the government’s curriculum and instructions. For the English curriculum, we follow a mix of the North American curriculum and the Cambodian curriculum.

We make all the classes digital. Teachers use computers or smart boards to teach our students digitally, test them and give them online assignments. The students also use laptops to learn, write and do their homework.
